The Defender-XL is designed for toughness, speed and accuracy — the newest and largest red dot in the Defender lineup, with a genuinely wide 25.5mm x 23.3mm window that makes it the biggest sight picture in this entire range. Built on a single-piece aluminium chassis, it's engineered specifically for the demands of competitive shooting.
Where the CCW and ST share reticle options of 3 or 6 MOA red (plus 3 MOA green), the XL genuinely expands the choice to 2, 5, or 8 MOA red dots, alongside the same 3 MOA green option — real flexibility to match your preferred balance of precision and speed. The larger battery compartment uses a simpler set-screw-and-button design rather than the ST's tool-required top-load, and still delivers up to 25,000 hours of runtime on a CR2032.
Every Defender-XL ships with a genuinely useful accessory set for competition use: a Glock MOS adapter plate, a Picatinny mount, and a comprehensive range of mounting screws — the same aggressive front face, clear glass, and motion-activated illumination with 10-minute auto-shutoff found across the rest of the Defender family, in the largest, most capable package.
