Real Protection. Honestly Rated.
A tested, scalable range of soft armour and rifle plates — from a concealable pistol panel through to full rifle protection. Every level is independently tested, and every listing states exactly what it does and doesn't defeat.
How to Choose the Right Armour
Choosing body armour comes down to two honest questions: what threat are you actually equipping for, and how much weight and bulk are you willing to carry to defeat it? A heavier, more capable plate isn't automatically the "better" choice — it's the right choice only if your actual risk requires it.
- Pistol and shotgun threats only? A Level IIIA soft-armour panel gives you flexible, concealable protection without added bulk.
- Want to start light and scale up? Our ICW (In Conjunction With) system lets you buy the soft armour now and add a rifle plate later — a genuine upgrade path, not a whole new purchase.
- Need rifle protection from day one, with the simplest setup? A standalone rifle plate rates fully on its own, with no second component to remember.
- Need coverage below the plate? A drop-down utility insert extends protection to the lower abdomen and groin — an area most setups leave exposed.
Every product page states its tested threats and limitations in full — always check these before buying, since ballistic protection is threat-specific and no plate defeats everything.
Understanding the Levels
Level IIIA
Soft armour. Defeats pistol and shotgun threats only. Flexible and concealable.
Level III+ (ICW)
Rifle plate worn together with Level IIIA soft armour. Thinner and lighter than a standalone plate — but only rated when both pieces are worn correctly.
Level III+ (Standalone)
Rifle plate rated fully on its own. Thicker and heavier, but no second component required.
Level IV
The highest rifle protection tier, rated against armour-piercing rifle threats — also the heaviest and bulkiest configuration of the four.
None of our current range is rated against armour-piercing ammunition or 5.56x45mm SS109/M855-type rounds — full tested-threat data and limitations are listed on each individual product page.
Which Noctis Ballistic System Is Right For You?
| Model | Level | Configuration | Weight | Best For |
| NS-D3A | IIIA | Standalone (Pistol/Frag) | 0.2kg | Lower abdomen/groin add-on |
| NS-S3A | IIIA | Standalone (Pistol) / ICW (Rifle) | 0.5kg | Covert carry, upgradeable |
| NSICW3+ | III+ (ICW) | Requires NS-S3A | 1.0kg | Scalable pistol-to-rifle setup |
| NSSA3+ | III+ (Standalone) | Standalone | 1.5kg | Simple, single-plate rifle protection |
All four are tested and independently rated — none is more "certified" than another. As a rule of thumb: run the lightest configuration that genuinely covers your actual threat level, and use the NSICW3+ upgrade path if you'd rather start light and scale up later than buy for a threat you may never face.
