Product Overview
The Warrior MCR Mk1 Type 2 is a lightweight, high-performance, fully customisable chest rig platform, crafted from high-quality laser-cut laminate for rugged construction in a sleek, compact package.
Adjustable padded shoulder straps and a quick-release buckle system keep it secure and comfortable for extended wear. The centrepiece is a detachable, scalable Kangaroo magazine pouch — holding 3x 5.56mm mags, or 2x 7.62mm mags, with individual magazines held by removable elasticated Velcro sleeves so you can configure a mission- and weapon-specific setup. The pouch can also accommodate a small radio, bandages, a tourniquet, or similar smaller items.
A chest rig like the MCR offers real advantages over a full ballistic plate carrier for the right role — lightweight training, general equipment carry, and reconnaissance or insertion work, where speed, agility and reduced fatigue are the priority and ballistic protection isn't required. Without the weight of plates, it keeps the wearer faster and less fatigued over long movements, while still providing structured, accessible load-bearing capacity.
The Fully Loaded setup adds two small slimline vertical utility pouches flanking the Kangaroo pouch, a drop-down Velcro utility pouch on the lower section, and a large slimline horizontal utility pouch on the front. One Wrap Velcro loops on both shoulders keep comms cables and hydration tubing organised. The MCR accepts additional pouches — such as radio side wings or extra mag pouches — sold separately and secured via Velcro, and it can be worn over a covert carrier like the CPC TVMP when extra load-carrying capacity is needed.

Sizing
The MCR is one size fits all, with fully adjustable padded shoulder straps and a quick-release buckle system for a secure, comfortable fit across a wide range of body sizes.
Harness Options: X vs H
The MCR is offered with either an X-Harness or H-Harness shoulder system.
Straps cross over at the back for a close, contoured fit. Favoured for dynamic movement and running, and by slimmer or more athletic builds, since it resists sliding. Can concentrate pressure on specific points and feel restrictive under heavy loads or worn over hard armour.
Two vertical straps joined by a horizontal strap across the upper back. Spreads weight more evenly, handles heavier loads more comfortably, is easier to put on and take off solo, and works well worn over a plate carrier. Can feel bulkier and may shift on smaller frames if not adjusted tightly.
